Lucy Adella Wagoner, who is buried at Bethel is a grand-daughter of George & Mary Shrader. Lucy is the daughter of John Burr Shrader who was the only one of the Shrader's children to stay in TN. Maybe that is why the Wagoner's are buried close to the Shraders.
Mary Shrader 10 Jan 1907 The Democrat
Mrs. Mary I. Shrader died at 5 o'clock Friday at the home of her son-in-law, Dr. W. R. Mathers at Prosper, after a long illness. Mrs. Shrader had been an invalid for some three or four years and had been confined to her bed for the greater portion of the year just closed. She was a native of the state of Tennessee but had resided in Collin county for thirty years. She was the widow of the late George H. Shrader who was one of Collin county's most highly esteemed citizens, and whose death occurred in 1888. When she and her husband moved from Tennessee to Texas they located in the Parker community, twelve miles southeast of this place, moving several years later to the western portion of the county where they continued to make their home.
Twelve children were born to them and it is a remarkable fact that no death has ever occurred among the children, all of whom have grown to manhood and womanhood. Thec hildren (sic) are as follows: John Shrader of Manchester, Tenn.; W. H. Shrader and Mrs W. R. Mathers of Prosper; Buck Shrader of Sherman; Fount and Booker Shrader and Mrs. Al Early of Frisco; J. K. P Shrader and Mrs. Joe B. Rogers of this city; Mrs. Florence Howell of Childress; Mrs. Mary F. Tarpley of Melrose,
N. M.; Rev H. P. Shrader of Eliasville, Texas. All were at the bedside of their mother except Mrs. Tarpley who resides in New Mexico some distance from a railroad and telegraph office, and who could not be communicated with in time to reach her mother's bedside. Mrs. Shrader was seventy-six years of age and was a noble Christian woman, having been for many years a consistent member of the Methodist church.
The funeral services were conducted at Prosper Methodist church at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, after which the remains were interred at the Old Bethel cemetery. We join in extending condolence to the sorrowing sons and this noble woman, whose long span of life was a blessing and a benediction.
