I can shed some light on the Baldridge family who are
buried in Plano Pioneer Cemetery. You have done a great job in finding
the ones who have no stones. You may not know that little Edna Byers is
also part of that family. Her parents were James F. Byers and Elizabeth
(Lizzie) Baldridge, dau. of Wm. F. Baldridge, Sr. The Byers lived in
Lincoln Co., TN, and James died there in 1880. Lizzie then brought
her children to Plano to be near her family.
William F. Baldridge, Sr. was b. in NC; moved with
his family to Giles Co., TN, where he married Elizabeth Caroline
Mitchell. They then moved to Northern AL and finally settled in Madison
Co. They had 11 children. Elizabeth died there in 1866. Wm. then mar.
Dorcas McDonald and they moved to Plano in 1878. His son Henry and three
daughters came about the same time. The daughters were Mary (Abernathy),
Pamela (Mrs. John H. Reedy), and Lizzie (Byers). Lizzie mar. W. W. Ramsey
while in Plano and they moved to Ft. Worth. William F. Baldridge, Jr.
also came to TX and settled in Dallas. Julia A. (Landman) Baldridge was
his wife. They were my husband's g-grandparents.
I am the one who put the Baldridge vertical file. in
the library. I'm delighted that someone put it to good use. Hope it
will help someone else.
