"Mrs. J.H. Rasor Dies Wednesday
Near the hour of 8 o'clock Wednesday evening, Mrs. Mary Ellen Rasor, one of
the early settlers of the Plano section, died at the family home, seven
miles northwest of Plano.
She was sixty-one years of age and had been ill since fall. She was a
native of Kentucky, but with her husband, J. H. Rasor, had lived near Plano
for thirty-five years, rearing a family of nine girls and two boys, losing
one son by death. The other eleven children and the husband survives her.
The family is wealthy and influential citizens of their community.
The funeral will be conducted today by Rev. Ben Snider, of McKinney, and the
burial will be ten miles northwest of Plano.
The deceased was a member of the Baptist church, a good Christian woman, and
had a great many friends who deplore her death."
