George Harper reports a sunflower 12 ½ feet tall with the flower 13 ½ in diameter.

Minne Klein reports that the DHS enrollment this year was 43 boys and 26 girls, which is good news for the girls.

We have a faded picture of the Delphos band taken 60 years ago. Names are Irv Ferris, Russ and J C Cunningham, Joe Haley, Walter, Will and Eugene Raub, Clyde Davis, Frank Rollins and one unidentified man.

Bernice Nelson and her sisters are headed to Anchorage Alaska and will be gone about 8 weeks. They will visit her daughter Mrs H E Rucker and family and other relatives in Oregon.

J B & Barry Nelson, sons of John A Nelson, won top honors of their age at the County Fair, bringing home $5 each. Tammy Baldock, daughter of Lamoine Baldock, won third place. Her cousin Ricky Newell, of Lincoln Neb, place third. He is the grandson of Mr & Mrs Ralph Newell of Delphos.

Mr & Mrs Mike Baker (Sharolyn Garrison) announce the birth of a daughter Lenda Renee. Mr & Mrs Max Begnoche (Nelda Anderson) are also proud parents.

Word was received of the death of Oney (Cormack) Lukens, 83, in Santa Ana, California. She was in the graduating class of DHS in 1893. Also Bremner ( Bob) White, in Sacramento CA
