This is the last week of Miss Louise Steinbrock's service in the Delphos telephone office. She has been with the exchange since it was built and is one of the very best operators in the state. She will keep house for her mother who is in poor health.

A baby boy was born to Mr & Mrs Wm. Skinner Sept 28th. 1910 census shows William and Emma with children, including William.

A baby girl was born to Mr & Mrs W O Raub Oct 4th. 1910 census show Wilfred and Mattie and daughter Glenna.

Savilla Conde, 14, daughter of E Conde, died in Topeka Wednesday after an operation for appendicitis. 1900 census Elzie & Sarah

Mrs Blanche Davis and Mr Wm. Adams were married at the home of her parents Mr & Mrs E N Davis Wednesday evening. She was born and raised here and he has been employed in his brother's store for some time. They will live in Salina where he has a position with the bank.

Henry L Spivey, 39, of Jamestown, died Wednesday.

Archie McCain arrived home Thursday. He played with the Louisville Colonels.

Roger Billings is connected with the Navy Air Station, Pensacola FL.

Mrs Rolla Durst spent the weekend with the Alfred Hurtigs helping to care for the new baby.

The Delphos Maroons defeated Asherville 7-0. Line up included Dale Haley, Melvin Kline, Harvey Lamer, John Haley, Delmar Rolph, Dale Sullivan, Claude Chancy, Paul Hughes, Max Rolph, Davis Partridge and Thurman Alton.

Nancy Ballou, daughter of LaVerne, was taken to St Josephs Hospital with Pneumonia Sunday evening.

Frank B Steinbrock, 73, passed away.

Darrell Haley, son of Mr & Mrs Richard Haley, has advanced to Private first-class. He returned to his base in Korea after attending Plumbing and Electric generator school where he placed 3rd of a group of 16.

Mrs Leo Allison had the champion afghan at the 1982 Kansas State Fair. Leo is ill at their home in Delphos.

Scott & Diane Steele of Manhattan are the parents of Chad Hayes Steele born Sept 30, Mr & Mrs Lowell Davis are grandparents.

Betty Mortimer, wife of Bob, has resigned as Administrator of the Delphos Rest Home.

Postmistress Karen Stegmeier said there will be no mail service Monday, in observance of Columbus Day.

Brad Giesecke brought in a car for restoration to Glasco Auto Body. A mouse and an opossum departed from the car, and were temporarily corralled.
