Jennie Bright bought the Almeda Van Horn home which was sold at auction.
Rev Carl Stengers car was hit by another car, driven by a woman, in Hutchinson. Damage estimated at $400. The family was lucky that they weren’t hurt worse. Carl IV was injured by flying glass but soon released.
Bridal shower for Beverly Brown, Mrs Bill Fry, was held Friday at Sheas café.
Mrs John T Naces's father, Rev Frank L Page, Topeka, passed away Saturday morning.
Heart Attack takes Charles Magee. He was born to Peter and Miranda Newton Magee, in Delphos, April (29)? 1885. and died May 25 1961 at home. He married Gertrude Green in 1923, they had one daughter Viola Price, of Arlington, California. … He operated a garage in Delphos for 44 years.

J B & Barry Nelson are happy with their new brother.
Mr & Mrs Raymond Ogden and daughters are staying with their aunt and uncle, Mr & Mrs Warren Kline, temporarily. When the Harold Buckles family moves from the Larzalere property to that of the late Lyda Slater, which they now own, the Ogden family will move to the Lazalere property. The Ogdens vacated the property on South Main where they were living, last week when flood waters threatened. Their furniture is stored in the former Horace Smith property at 306 North Oak now owned by Warren Kline.
Vance Apple, AMC, will leave Saturday for Key West, FL where he will attend school for a month before going to Oceana, VA for duty. Mrs Apple, Janie and Kathleen will remain here for another month.
Mr & Mrs Walter Crum, and daughters of Topeka, were Sunday visitors of Mr & Mrs Clifford Chancy, Gary and Terry.
Sylvia McKain had the misfortune to fall Saturday. She is in the hospital for x rays and observation.
Bernice Briggs is having a birthday soon. Mr & Mrs Duane McKain and Randy entertained with a supper Friday. Present were Mr & Mrs Harold Paul, Mrs Bernita Martin, Mr Emmett Srna, Esther McKain, Mr & Mrs Everett McKain, Mrs Mildred Phillipson and D, and Mr & Mrs Jed Dewey and Max.
